Two or three evenings a month we clear the bench, put ten people behind it and hand out far more stems than anyone needs. You go home with the thing you built and the nerve to do it again.

Ten places, one bench, no more. If a workshop does not reach four bookings a week before, we move it rather than run it thin — you get the choice of the next date or your money back the same day.

Ten people, one evening, the greenhouse doors open onto the beds and nobody checking a phone. It works for a team that has stopped talking to each other and it works for a hen weekend that does not want a spa.
We do about two of these a month and they book six weeks out. Tell us roughly when and how many and we will hold a date for a week while you ask everyone.
Ask about a private bench- I have never done this. Will I be the worst one there?
- Half the room has never done it either, and the other half is worse than they think. Nobody is graded. You will be over-supplied with stems on purpose so mistakes cost nothing.
- Can we book the whole bench?
- Yes — ten places, any Tuesday or Wednesday evening, or a weekday daytime in winter. $1,150 for the bench, which is the ten places plus the greenhouse to yourselves and the good chairs.
- We want it somewhere else — an office, a hen weekend, a village hall.
- We travel within about forty miles with the buckets and the tables. Add $250 for the van and the setup, and give us a sink and a door wide enough for a barrow.
- Something came up. Can I move my seat?
- Up to 72 hours before, move it to any date in the next six months, no charge. Inside 72 hours the flowers are already cut for you, so send a friend instead — we do not need to know their name in advance.
Hold me a place.
Say which date and how many of you. We will hold the seats for 48 hours while you check with whoever you are dragging along, and take payment after that — not before.
